History
Kaboose Inc. was co-founded in 1999 by Jason DeZwirek (Chairman and Chief Executive Officer) and Eric Yuzpe (National Director Ad Sales) to develop interactive educational and entertainment media, specifically targeting children and families, as well as offering corporate clients customized turnkey technology-based solutions to strengthen their relationships with target audiences online.
Management decided with the growth of the online sector and its rapid adoption by kids and families, true long-term sustainable value could be created by acquiring and building online assets that offered moms and their families resources to live and share their family life. As such, since 2001, Kaboose has acquired and integrated ten companies, including Kidsdomain.com (now Kaboose.com – targeting parents), Funschool (for kids 3 to 11), Zeeks (for kids 9 to 14), Birthday in a Box (party supply site), Two Peas In a Bucket (an online scrapbooking community and supply site), BabyZone (the largest independent online site focusing on prenatal and pregnancy), BubbleShare (one of the leading photo-sharing sites online) and Amazing Moms (providing moms and families with great family activities), in addition to launching one new site, ParentZone (targeting parents with kids from grade school to graduation).
