Position: Human Resources & Benefits Coordinator
The Role:
In the role of Human Resources & Benefits Coordinator you will be responsible for supporting the HR needs of our employees located in offices in Boston (Newton), New York, and home offices across the United States. Reporting to the VP, of Human Resources, we are seeking an individual with excellent organization and planning skills, solid communication and interpersonal skills and a positive 'can do' attitude. The incumbent will provide front line customer service support for the Human Resources department by responding to queries on policies, programs and human resources initiatives or redirecting queries to appropriate persons.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate recruitment activities such as posting opportunities, screening résumés, interviewing candidates, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, and making full time offer requests working closely with hiring managers for our US employees.
- Coordinate and conduct new hire orientation/on boarding programs working closely with the hiring manager, controller, and others as required.
- Responsible for the day-to-day administration of US employee benefit plans, including: health, dental, life, disability and 401(k), ensuring adherence to laws and policies.
- Communicate and explain company policies and procedures and serve as the initial contact for all HR related inquires, providing exceptional service to our employees.
- Respond in a timely manner to answer/resolve employee questions and concerns, and escalate to the Human Resources Manager or VP of Human Resources as necessary.
- Work closely with the team to maintain up to date HRIS data.
- Creates and processes a range of documents including but not limited to: letters of employment, benefits documents such as COBRA, HIPPA, etc.
- Maintains confidential documents and files.
- Performs other HR support related duties as required.
Your Qualifications/Experience
- You have a college diploma or university degree in a related field.
- You have 2 – 5 years relevant and transferrable HR experience.
- You possess excellent desktop computer skills, specifically the Microsoft suite of products – Excel and Word.
- As our US relations and benefits expert, you are self-motivated and an exceptional independent worker.
- You possess superior communication skills, both oral and written and have polished interpersonal skills.
- Self motivated, with a high degree of integrity and business acumen.
- You can be counted on to handle and respect confidential information, demonstrate integrity in dealing with others and possess strong business acumen.
- Must be a reliable, accountable, proactive self-starter with great employment references.
